No smoking around katelinnea. Thank you for your co-operation. |
You're a Winter. You very much enjoy your time
alone but do like other people's company
sometimes. You just need your space. You have a
few priviledged friends who saw past your
colder exterior to find the true you. You can
have pretty bad mood swings (though you hate to
admit it) so you could be soft one second then
storming around the next! But over all, you're
a very pleasant person once people take the
time to get to know you. You're a good friend
for in-depth talks. You're very talented when
it comes to creative things.(If you can't see
the pics, go to my homepage and look near the
bottom and find your result)

I have a few Gmail invitations to give out, if anyone's interested. Leave a comment or e-mail me. If I give them all away, I'll start a waiting list for when I get more.
Hate to break it to you, folks, but I'm not quite so naive and innocent as everyone seems to think.

"When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do." -- Walt Disney
Onesome: When you're curious- Is there a specific subject you're especially curious about? A person? A region of the world? An animal? A field of study?
How people live. I think that encompasses most of my big areas of curiosity, from religion to social history to foreign languages to my addiction to online diaries/blogs.
Twosome: you find lots of interesting- What do you consider your most interesting trait/ feature?
Hmmm. I don't know. I could come up with "best" or "worst" but... most interesting? Huh.
Threesome: things to do- What's on your list of things to do everyday, whether you want to or not? Filing, phone calls, homework, chasing around after kiddos, cooking, cleaning, etc.
Every day? Hmm. Go to work (well except on days off), clean, cook. Knit, read, write.
As you may have noticed, I've been getting tons of spam comments recently. I'm trying to delete them as I have time, but it's a pain and it takes a while. Does anyone know how to make it stop?

Is maith liom bananai - 'I like bananas.'You're laid-back and you enjoy the simple things in life. Some might say you're a little too laid-back. Just what is it you're smoking, anyway?
Neither are totally right, of course, but they're actually surprisingly close...
You're Egypt!
Curator of ancient mystical secrets, your life on the surface is fairly
typical these days. Though you are in denial about more things than most people.
Nevertheless, you're trying to convince people that you're safe despite your more
volatile and unstable times that seem to be behind you. You like cats a whole lot.
You'd probably really appreciate The Blue
Pyramid.

You're Watership Down!
by Richard Adams
Though many think of you as a bit young, even childish, you're
actually incredibly deep and complex. You show people the need to rethink their
assumptions, and confront them on everything from how they think to where they
build their houses. You might be one of the greatest people of all time. You'd
be recognized as such if you weren't always talking about talking rabbits.

If that number is 2,500, take a screen shot and e-mail it to me. Whoever does will get a postcard from New Orleans next month! If no one does, I'll try to figure out who the 2500th visitor was, but no promises. Hint: it should be tomorrow or the next day.
(Thanks to Theresa for the idea.)
Guess what? Very soon (May 5, I believe) this site will turn two years old! Two years! It's certainly gone by quickly. And so I have to get it a present for its birthday, right? Right.
So, what do you get a Web site for its second birthday? Why, its very own domain name, of course! I've been cheap and indecisive for far too long. ;-) The site deserves a real name, don't you agree?
The problem here is that I have no idea what it should be. And here's where the contest comes in! It's simple: suggest names! If I pick a name you suggest, you get a prize! I was going to make the prize yarn, but it occurred to me that there are (a very few) people who read this blog but don't knit, and some of them, at least, wouldn't have much to do with yarn but, well, give it to me. And that would totally defeat the purpose. So the prize will depend on the interests of the person who wins.
Here are a few guidelines:
1. I'll give you until at least May 1 to come up with things. I'm not saying I'll necessarily decide on May 1 (since I'm notoriously indecisive), but I won't decide before then.
2. I'm not guaranteeing a winner, either. If I have some brainstorm myself, or if I just don't like any suggestions, I may not pick one from among the entries. If this happens, I'll put all the entrants' names in a hat and pick one for a smaller consolation prize, of sorts.
3. You can enter either name/domain name combinations (such as "Call it Kat's Cool Site and make the domain www.katscoolsite.com") or just one or the other.
4. You can enter as many times as you want. I want all the ideas I can get!
5. A hint--I probably don't want anything that is strictly about knitting, since I talk about other stuff here too. But if it involves knitting and also has other connotations, that would be lovely.
6. Please e-mail entries here!
Have fun, and good luck! If you have any questions, e-mail me or leave them in the comments.
I'd never heard that term before. But this explains pretty well what's going on, so: Jew.
Umm, yeah, that's me all right. And she's always been my favorite of his wives, too.
(Is that too incredibly nerdy, that I have a favorite of Henry's wives?)
