The title of this site comes from a description Jane Austen once gave of her novel Pride and Prejudice. She feared that it might prove "rather too light and bright, and sparkling" for some readers. I have chosen it as a title partially just because I like the phrase, and partially to remind myself of the tone I want for my novel, which will attempt to be of the same type as Austen's work.
