Friday, August 02, 2002 5:33 PM Okay. We're not going to the movie, so I don't have to decide. Hopefully I will have time to knit lots tonight, though. My new crush. I need one. Or several. For me? For Christmas presents? Or maybe a blanket? Or even a sweater? It looks cuddly. We shall see. I'll do a scarf first and see how it knits up. Ugh. Must finish work so I can knit knit knit. # I am trying to decide whether/what craft stuff to bring to the movie tonight. It's another movie in the park. Should be fun. But yeah. Last time I brought my knitting and mostly knit during the preshow because it got too cold during the actual movie. But tonight I will probably bring a book for the preshow, since J has reading to do for homework. (Since he'll be reading it won't be rude of me to read too. ;-) ) So yeah... if I bring the cleaning cloth and knit during the movie, I could probably finish it. That would be exciting. But knowing me, if I feel like I might finish it, I'll have to bring something else too. Just in case. You know. So maybe I should bring the crochet blanket instead. I'm trying to figure out if that requires more or less concentration/looking than the knitting. Hmm. If I bring the knitting I will probably bring a scarf I'm working on as well. In case I finish the cleaning cloth. Yeah. That would be exciting to finish those two things. Then I can start the Knit It sweater I want! (That was my deal with myself. When I finish two things I can start that sweater.) Ooh, I get to leave work now! # Trina has sexy knitting pictures up. Hello Stranger has homemade shampoo. Echo has a new look. # Are any of you members of The Knitting Guild of America? Is it worth it? The main reason I'm considering it is because I'd like to do their master knitting certification program. Anyone have opinions on/experience with this? # Wednesday, July 31, 2002 5:09 PM Not much craft stuff today... it's my birthday! I did, however, go to an LNS, and I've already gotten one craft-related gift. I'll post all about it as soon as I can come up with links. # Tuesday, July 30, 2002 3:34 PM I got to the second stripe of my crocheted blanket. Yay! It's going to be six stripes, alternating maroon and grey. Each stripe is a skein. I'm not using a set pattern, just picking what stitch I want to do at the beginning of each row--mostly single crochet, double crochet, or half double. It's coming out nicely and it looks great with the new loveseat! # Starting a new stitching project! It's a baby sampler. Heehee. But I'm not saying who it's for. # |
