I have a goal.

I have come to the conclusion that I have entirely too many knitting WIPs. Or, should I say, UFOs. Because that's really what most of them are. Even if I try to deceive myself into thinking otherwise. Too many. Countless. (Well...) Forgotten about.

So. I am going to do something about this. I am going to gather all the WIPs that are currently in my living room, decide which ones I want to finish, and DO SO. And frog the rest and pick out a new project for them. I will make a list and post it here so I can stay accountable. I will.

You might have noticed that I said "the WIPs that are currently in my living room." Those in my bedroom are excluded, for the moment. Partially because the living room will be enough to work on for a while, and partially because the ones in my bedroom are just too hard to get to/find. So I'll add them in when I come across them.

Yup. I have a plan. I have a goal. I can do it.

Hi.

I didn't mean to disappear. I never do. But it happens and then I feel all bad and come back and apologize and hope you all will forgive me. If there's anyone even reading this.

Unlike last time, though, I didn't disappear because I wasn't crafting. I disappeared because I was so busy with things including crafting that I was barely online. Is that a better excuse? I don't know.

Remember how last time I mentioned that I was getting into rubber stamping? Well, apparently I've done more than get into it. I'm now a demonstrator for Stampin' Up! This is very exciting. It means I get to share stamping with people and go to parties and teach workshops and get paid for it! And have a great excuse to buy stamping stuff! Heehee. It's fun.

I'm also getting my craft business going again. One of the reasons it didn't really work last time was that knitting takes to long for the kind of inventory and turnover I needed. So stamping provides a great solution. I'm doing as much knitted stuff as I can, but I can fill out my inventory with stamped cards and gifts, which are completed much more quickly. I think it will really work!

Because of my current job (at which I have to work Saturdays), I can't do craft shows myself now. (I'm planning to start them next year, after I move to CT.) But I have a wonderful friend who does shows, and she's going to take some of my products along and sort of test market them for me. And I'm planning to get a Web site up very soon in which I can sell my knitting, so hopefully this combination will work.

So. For this new Web site, which will also have information about my Stampin' Up business and eventually my writing and tutoring, I need a name. I'm thinking Linnea Arts. Do you like it? Let me know.

On the needles: a basic triangle shawl is what I've been working on most. This is headed to a show with my friend in October.
